A designer also has limited control over color. Every computer monitor is different: some display 256 colors; others, over sixteen million. Thus, to accommodate every viewer, designers have to limit the number of colors they use, or else the color is distorted on computers with less sophisticated graphics capability.

There are methods of avoiding the above inconsistencies, but they require the user to download additional programs and fonts. However, not many users are willing to the spend extra time merely to view a site the way the designer intended.
