6.1 Flawed Navigation

When visiting a web site users will ask two questions: Where am I? and Where do I go from here? While the above page answers the first question, the second question is unanswered. The users can click on "information," "design,"or on one of the rollover squares. But it is not obvious what information users will find if they click on the butterfly.

An navigation interface needs to show all the available alternatives so that users can make informed decisions as to which link will satisfy their needs. A user should not have to guess what content is available.
